Hi,
I
am the new human owned by Mr. Whiskers. My wife obtained him for me,
as you know, as a Christmas present. I was somewhat dubious, because I
knew so little about the breed. That lasted a full 15 seconds or
less.
When Kathy showed me his picture on the Internet, my comment was, " He looks both ugly and like a serial killer!"
He
is now handsome and the most loving dog I have ever had. We are
buddies. As you know, the breed is quite bright, so I have to make
sure that he does not manipulate me. He is very healthy and surprised
me by getting along well with the Chihuahuas.
I
counted on his being a male to help me have some balance in the
estrogen sea at my house- two female Chihuahuas and my wonderful wife.
The little traitor makes women want to hold him and he just goes limp
in their arms.
Kathy
researched the top most affectionate breeds. Being retired, he is with
me all day and, at night, sleeps without a peep in his dog kennel- I
arranged it so he can see me through the grate door, about 4 feet
away, and that satisfies him.
Congratulations on the quality of your dog and on the socialization that you obviously gave him.
Sincerely,
Dr. Tom Sims

Hello Vicky!
I just wanted to drop you a
quick email to let you know how much fun Barbie and I are having! She
is truly a sweet little sole! I'm enjoying her beyond my wildest
expectations - and - so is my family. She is a very social and loving
little dog. And while not all of the cats have decided to have her as
their 'new best friend' - she and the youngest cat - an Oriental
Shorthair named Alamo - are definitely buddies. They take turns
chasing each other - a tag team effect if you will.
She's
already learned to respond to a couple of commands - 'sit and stay'
(although sit is easier than stay at the moment). I'm so happy to have
her. She is a most delightful dog!
Thanks for
such a wonderful little personality - my sister has fallen absolutely
in love with her as well - so much so that she is considering adding a
griff to her family at some point now (presently she has an elderly
beagle, and a middle-aged yellow lab). I've given her your information
so that when she's ready - she can check to see if you have a litter in
the works. The griffs are such a special breed - I'm totally smitten
as you can tell!
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you and yours!
